Its design process started from the community by the need of the community and for the community to develop a model of the smart village in five parts included humans, community, social, environment, and economic to make the locals proud in their community. Also, there would connect the community space in B.Grimm village, temple, and school turning into the learning place about the thai local wisdom in thai society started from the smallest but have the most important – a house and the community.
The design represents the existing potential of the community which has an interested locals’ wisdom. After connecting community spaces (village-temple-school) the locals can use them for various community activities. In the end, they can have a sustainable environment, sustainable community, and sustainable life on their own.

This project is sustainably driven into the model of a smart village by creating the strength of village, temple, and school. It was developed society’s economic, social, environmental, and people aspects based on HM King Rama 9’s Sufficiency Economy philosophy while encouraging community engagement.
B.Grimm smart village locates in Sa Kaeo province, Thailand which is a countryside and underdeveloped region. The site project consists of 3 parts: school, temple, and agricultural area surrounded by a village local.
From the participatory in designing the area for community development would like to improve based on the existing condition. To develop into the model of a smart village that shows the way of community life, the 62,400 sq.m master plan has a concept design considering the environment, the potential of existing space, and human well-being. The areas of social activities such as sports, recreation, learning space, and agricultural area were used by connecting the village, the temple, and B.Grimm school.
“Integral All Around Learning Space;
1.People can take their food productivity from their eco-farm: As the project is designed with the concept of sustainability, every single area could be productive. We used the Thai traditional orchard included trees, shrubs, and climber plants rotated by season as the planting concept that integrated with an existing. For example, the school fence was designed to be an edible fence with local climber vegetables, apart from for eating, there are also help to reduce the hardness wall. Rice fields are also used that represent the way of agricultural life in Thailand, people can learn how to crop them in a period from the beginning to the end. For a number of agricultural plants were designed based on the research, vegetable and fruit consumption demand analysis per day enough for the people. Due to the area limitation, edible gardens are applied at different levels.
